Sara Leanne is a world-touring professional musician, praised for her rich, smokey voice, elegant piano playing, and sensitive musicianship. She is best known for performing the role of Christine McVie with Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, officially endorsed by Mick Fleetwood, and has appeared with the band at many of the world’s most prestigious concert halls and venues, including l’Olympia (Paris), Tempodrom (Berlin) and Cadogan Hall (London).
Alongside this, Sara directs and performs in several of her own acclaimed projects, including the UK-touring production Songbird: A Celebration of Eva Cassidy and Manchester-based jazz band Smoke & Honey. She also maintains a strong working relationship with The Night Owl Shows, having performed with them across the UK and Australia in productions such as ‘California Dreams: Sounds of LA 1965-75’ and ‘The Carole King & James Taylor Story’. With other projects, Sara has performed at The Beacon Theatre on Broadway, and aboard The World Luxury Residential Yacht. In her hometown, Manchester, she is a regular live artist at venues including Blues Kitchen, Matt & Phred’s, and Browns Brasserie.
Sara trained as a classical pianist and singer and graduated from King’s College London in 2018 with a First Class degree in Music. She spent four years working as an agent in the classical music industry before transitioning into popular music performance and management. Having spent most of her early adulthood immersed in contemporary vocal music, Sara has won numerous awards for her vocal arrangements, founded all-female vocal collective VERSA in 2018, and has since worked with companies such as the BBC, Universal Music Group, Band on the Wall, and Varsity Vocals USA, as arranger, performer, producer and director.
Sara is currently working on her first EP, featuring music inspired by Bonnie Raitt, The Staves, Carole King and Tadeschki Trucks.
